Spent the day looking for a good fishing location easily available by kayak. Lucked out with the Lighthouse lakes north of Corpus. A beach site with a flat beach going into the water. Perfect for my Casita travel trailer and my pop up shelter. Should be hitting the water Wed morning. Also found a very knowledgeable bait and tackle shop - Roy's Bait and Tackle.

I was wondering if Tackle Town made it through the storm okay. Are they open? That is a fine tackle shop.

Set up on the bank of a channel close to Lighthouse Lakes. Watching a school of medium size fish foraging close to the shoreline, pelicans are fishing, and amazingly - a dolphin breaking the surface.in the middle of the channel. Does life get any better? Can hardly wait to get my kayak out there after a sandwich.
