I have multiple of each and I can for sure say the NRX is still lighter and more sensitive. But the GLX is #1 when it comes to others in it's category. The GLX is no slouch, that's for sure. The NRX is just on another level.

I doubt you could find a new NRX for that price. They retail for more than that.

let me phrase it another way .....
if you were in the market for an upscale -- top of the line --- rod.
would you pay $450 for a G-Loomis NRX ???

I know if you go to American legency fishing and never ordered before they give you 10% off and 7.1 in NRX there is 525 I think it's at 853 should be for $75 free shipping but they have better sales like around Christmas or Thanksgiving or the start of the year

I am right there with you, I got so lucky one day, I stopped at SW parts and they had them brand new, 1/2 price. My only regret is that I didn't buy 3 or 4 of them or at least 2. I didn't realize how good they where until I fished with one. There is not a better football jig rod that I am aware of.

The NRX is the ultimate fishing rod. Period. The closest thing to an NRX is a Kistler Z-Bone. Those are fine rods too.
