Start putting back money for the taxes on the value for the IRS and the taxes on the registration. If that was not included in the deal. You don't want to get "caught out" by a surprise that might spoil the awesome feeling of winning a boat.
Like others have said above..it is a great boat. I have one very close to it......although I actually had to BUY MINE...dammit.

Like others have said above..it is a great boat. I have one very close to it......although I actually had to BUY MINE...dammit. Very good point. You don't just pay a sales tax on a boat you win, you pay income tax on the fair market value of the boat, as if you worked for that money. Which means on an approximate $30k boat, Uncle Sam may be wanting anywhere between $4,500 - $7,500 in April, depending on what income tax bracket you land in. Get some tax help if you need it. Congrats on the boat man! Very awesome that you won it!

Thank you guys for the insight! Im waiting on the paper works from Bass Champs and I have tax preparer ready to work her magic!
Until then Its going in the storage and getting broke In when I return from filming the Bass Champs tv Challenge!

Make sure to write off expenses. You should be able to knock quite a bit of that amount. Congrats!
