Also know as Magnolia. They are quite abundant in Bardwell. I catch one almost every trip. Most are too small to keep.

We call then Mohawks . Lots of them in Lake Whitney in our slip at Harbor Master Marina . Always heard they were a cross between white and black crappie . And yes there used to be some at that S hole of a marians called Juniper Cove . They fight like a black bass .
