Cant speak for the 27's but I have a pair of their 31's for about 10 months now for my TM. No issues as of yet.

Get the 31s, no reason not to! I run the same ones. Exide group 31 wet cell from academy. 109.99 if I remember correctly, great batteries especially for the price, and huge!

I had to go through 4-5 returns before I found 2 that lasted a few years. I went a different direction recently. I would recommend interstates, or Duracell batteries from Sams. The Duracells are re-branded Deka batteries made by East Penn Mfg. Or Lowes has Dekas you can order and have shipped to the store. I got the duracells for $80 each.

I bought some from Academy back in 2007 and they crapped out with 6 months. Excide would not take them back even though I had a receipt. Talk to the manager at Academy and told him what the problem and he took the back. I will not buy them again. Now that was 2007. I now have duracells on my boat.

Good thing about academy is they will take back anything you purchase if it malfunctions, breaks, or even if you accidentally damage something... they have the best return policy by far because they appreciate your business and want to keep it.

If you buy Excide you need to do the (11 month exchange) program. I buy Excide for the price but I only kept them for 11 months and take them back. I had a few that only lasted for less that 15 months. I fish at less three time a week, so I put a lot of time on them. The best tm batteries are from walmart but their $30 to $40 more than Excide.

Get the Duracell from Sam's club. Best value AGM imo
