Had mine out yesterday while filming my fishing for the first time...landing it on the boat does induce a bit of a pucker factor.

OK...so this would be fun.
Sitting there watching a guy catching fish...he is pretty secretive about how he is fishing. Pull out the drone, fly it over nice and close and video the rods on his deck, fly it back to the boat an get to work. That's a funny thought.
Had kids flying a drone over me in the back of Longbranch - pretty funny really

Would be a great idea for locating bed fish during the spring. I ran the camera boat for a charity event recently, the Careco videographer had a drone in his bag of tricks. Pretty neat watching him do his thing. Instead of landing it on the deck of the boat he would ease it down to his free hand and grab it. He took video of fishing action as well as following the boats for a few as they put it on pad. Looking forward to seeing the footage when they air the event. I now officially need a drone on my boat - end of story.

TX your son is just so cute. You'll be so glad you have these films as he gets older. I'm very happy for you.

I've seen one flying around Lake Athens several times.
Two or three days ago I was standing in my canoe back up in the NW corner of the lake and I heard this very tiny buzzing noise. It almost sounded like a bee, so I looked around, then "remembered" what I was hearing and looked straight up and spotted a drone flying directly overhead . . . I guess about a thousand feet or so up. Hard to say but at whatever height reduces the sound to just a buzz.
I waved with my orange double-bladed paddle . . . I have no idea if a drone aims a camera straight down or not but, if so, I am sure it saw me as it was exploring the cove.

Brad Sounds like you were a good sport, but i hope it wasn't filming you. I enjoy flying mine on occasion, but I'd never use it to invade someone's privacy.

These things can fly miles and hover just over the water with a Live HD Camera... you can see bedding shallow fish for sure.. buddy had one at a pond this past spawn jacking around.. pretty cool.. coolest part is when the battery runs low it will fly itself back unassisted from miles away.
