My wife and I were there for the couples tournament last weekend and it was pretty slow. We caught 7 keepers on Saturday and 7 on Sunday fishing around the grass. Frogs and soft plastics were the only things we could get a keeper size fish to bite. we also were able to catch smaller fish that would school up sporadically throughout the day on a yellow magic.

This year has been a tough one on Toledo. Never in a million years thought I would have to fish a drop shot on Toledo to catch fish but its the only thing i can get going lately. I have had at least a little success drop shotting the robo worm in morning dawn color on main lake points and ridges in 20' - 25'.

That bait works on every lake in the country. One of my go to baits for tough days but lately I've been throwing a wacky worm on a 1/16 weighted hook out deep. It will surprise you

Fished the Media Championship this past weekend. It was tough! Very few bites. Housen was good until about 9:30ish. But there was guys who were on them, not this guy! It was hot as hell and no wind. Lake is low! Watch for stumps, found a few in the lanes.

We were there for the couples tournament as well, lake is low and lots of stumps showing. Fishing for us was better early in the week when we had cloud cover. As the blue bird days hit later in the week it got tough for us, hot as hell and not a breath of wind. Good luck to you guys.

After flooding out people downstream 2 years in a row and still in hurricane season 168 might be the normal level for a while. Just my $.02

Only 5 bags over 20# in 2 days and 3 of those bags were caught by locals including the mega bag. A few guys caught em and the other 45 teams struggled big time.

I'm not saying that you can't get out there and smash them, just simply saying your odds are much better having a great day of fishing on Rayburn right now versus Toledo Bend. cheers

Is the grass trying to make a rebound on the Bend?
