Water temp 76...clear to 3 feet at upper end of lake. Fished 7:30 - 1:00. Mayflies ALMOST done. Caught around 15 on spinners, but most on night crawlers. Mixed bag of around 35-40 total. Couple questions 1) Do u guys that use small spinners like roostertail & Mepps, use any kind of swivel to prevent line twist ? 2) How do you freeze your catch in a way that prevents freezer burn? Any advice appreciated...

Side note. Get a "Meal Sealer" Keeps fish good in freezer.

Friends of mine who use spinner baits usually tie them direct to line.

Use a vacuum sealer or freeze the fish in water in the ziplock bag. It's the air that causes freezer burn.

When I spin fish, I was taught to use a swivel for baits that spin.

Vacuum/Meal sealer! Picked one up at Walmart years ago. Works like a champ on all foods including fish that you want to freeze. I fish with spinning lures a lot and I use a swivel. I do have a couple of friends who tie the lure direct to the line.
