My partner put a Terrova on his boat when they first came out and he bitches about the mount every time we launch or put boat back on trailer because it sticks so far over the nose of the boat.
He's in the process of trading his in for Ultrex for 1.) Mount is much better 2.) he hates the steering on the Terrova

Both have great features but it depends on what you prefer

I put a 52" on my Cougar and it's perfect for both shallow and you can slide it down for fishing deeper, rougher water

I have a 45/80 on my TZX190.

It hasn't surfaced on windy days yet.

It did use to cavitate and surface more often on my little 16ft Nitro....but that boat was like fishing from a bounce house.

they are selling as fast as they are being delivered until they start stacking up at distributors I doubt that the price will go down have not seen buyers remorse from the ones I have sold an not many used ones for sale . looks like a better investment than poles or talons at this point.

Had a pedal seize up but Minn Kota sent me a new one within 3 days. Love my Ultrex!

The negative is the cost.

Best investment ever though.

the cost is not that bad for a product so well designed that they are selling as fast as they come in still cheaper than 2 talons or poles an a whole lot more advantages like holding on a point in 20 ft of water minnkota is way ahead of motorguide on trolling motors.

The circuit board in mine was dead straight from the factory. It wilould only run on 100 percent. The hardest thing is having to put the fortrexx back on the boat knowing how awesome the spotlock is on the ultrexx. They told me it might be several weeks to fix but warranty would cover all costs.

About a month ago, my pedal stopped responding in one direction. You could kind of stomp on it, and it would go back to working. I called Minn Kota, and they told me it was the steering sensor in the pedal and would need to be taken to a shop. Luckily, we were fishing the Big Bass Splash that weekend on Fork, and the Minn Kota trailer was there. They changed it out, and I've no problems since.

As a side note, I was also having issues with the spot lock either locking then disengaging or not engaging at all while I was having the pedal problem. Since replacing the steering sensor, I've had zero problems with the spot lock.

No negatives yet. I have had mine out 3 times. Complete game changer.

Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.
