I still watch the tournament episodes but the head to head is boring, and like Ted said a person can only take so much of Fish Fishburn!

I do kind of like the show. Im just not a big fan of the small pond stuff either. Maybe its just my selfish wants but i would like to see more on the boat fishing during tournaments.
I think Fish Fishburne does a pretty dang good job and thankfully not annoying.

used to love it when McCalmont did all the production and voice work. there was some priceless on the water footage . . . king creek on CC, the DD lost on the net on hubbard, robby rose catching nothing but dinks on falcon then showing up with a giant at weigh in he mysteriously caught on a spinnerbait on his way in after the camera was gone. Every show i watched was pretty compelling.
i quit watching after the format switch. To me fish fishburn is OK in small doses but i can't take it for a whole show. After Fish finally realized this was a bass fishing show and not Comedy Central he's a little more easy to take. His Jim Carey impersonations made me switch channels. Over all BC is pretty good to watch and I do. Putting a camera in a boat can be dangerous and boring. Some folks freeze up with a camera rolling and some use a lot of colorful language after losing a fish, throwing a spinner bait in a tree or getting a monster backlash. Could only get 30 seconds of film out of it, lol.
I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed. Conscience never acquits, it either accuses or excuses.

Texasbass1, Yes. The information below should help answer your question. Thanks to all of you that are watching. We are very proud of our shows and work extremely hard to provide entertaining competitive fishing content. As you can imagine, it is difficult to film large events. Some of the Bass Champs events have over 2000 competitors. Picking which boats to follow is a challenge. We do not have the luxury of cutting down the field to 10 or 20 for filming purposes, we also have 22-25 events per season to choose from. After 16 years of airing grass roots fishing competitions and being the most watched grass roots tournament fishing show, we are still learning and striving to improve. Our shows air on two networks. WFN and Fox Sports SW. Our sponsors are very aware of the impact that Bass Champs has on their overall marketing programs, and we appreciate our viewers that support the companies involved. That should about sum it up. There's always varying opinions and critics but you have arguably the best grass roots trail anywhere who's covered their events on the networks for years and is always willing to listen, learn and be creative, yet somehow it still isn't enough... Chad/Jeff, maybe you guys should try VOD...

I can help ya there, on Rayburn for instance, just follow Castledine the entire show and drop GPS coordinates on the screen as you follow him. Your rating will double.

Yep, heaven forbid someone shares an opinion on here that disagrees with anyone. Come on man. It's not hating, it's honesty and people's opinions.

I don't have the time to watch alot of episodes. I will say that Fish is 1 awesome man that I have great respect for. Great guy.
I would like to see how alot of you guys would do in his place..... Actually I wouldn't after thinking about it for 2 seconds.
Basschamps is still the pinnacle. I could write for a while how basschamps is better than TTT. I'll leave it at the weighin process.

OK, to be quite frank, Bass Champs is the pinnacle of AAA fishing in Texas and has been for a long time. TV is very much sub par and predominately reruns. At my house, it's DVR and delete. Mostly in less than 60 seconds because it's the 5th rerun. Why don't you jump in and take the TV title and sponsor dollars vacated in this space and actually create more. Here's a suggestion:
Berkley/Techron sponsored - Pre-fish + angler thoughts and predictions before every tournament (16 episodes) - You could film this the day before & morning of the tournament. You could have on host and/or a high profile guest. An example, I'd love to see what James Niggemeyer thinks the winning patterns will be on Toledo Bend 03-11-18. You could even have a "TX Pro Tip of the Week!"
Skeeter/Yamaha sponsored - Tournament coverage + Angler Review (16 episodes) - Minimal weigh in and post weigh in footage followed by "Abu Garcia" tips and techniques by top finishers. You could even have the "Sportsman Network" Pro review after weigh in. It would be hard to pull off a little time on the water but that wold be sweet...
I know you need to cover all Specialty Tournament. You have 20 days to cover & rerun the specialty sponsored events 3 + times each.
There were a million reasons our most recent departure in Texas fishing TV should have failed; weather travel, etc. Simple transparency and hard work worked wonders. So what if it rains before a tournament and makes filming hard. Fight through it or go to a tackle store and talk about it. May be the best show ever. May stink, but I'll be tuned in next week and know you'll crush it at Mega Bass.

Guarnentee if Fish fish man stopped acting like a child it would help out allot. His GF is almost worse glad they got away from filming him and her fish together. They will eventually get it right or they won't lol, TxTT still has way better show where you actually see local guys land some tournament fish
