I know there's plenty of flooded timber north of 287, does anyone know the preferred route to run north of 287?

Thanks

I run up the bank to the right of the island to 2859, no marked lanes.

From the 287 bridge heading north, stay between the creek channel and the east shore until you reach the 2859 bridge. I usually take it pretty easy around the 2859 bridge. After you cross under the bridge stay on the east side again. RC isn't like Palestine and some other East Texas lakes that you can run pretty close to the shore. It has a gradual slope over pretty much the entire lake. So when I say east side I don't mean right up against the shore. When you come to the first big bend after the 2859 bridge you will see a ton of timber. I usually shut it down to an idle there. Lots of timber from there north. I know some guys that run it all the way to the old lake Corsicana dam, but I've never found a good lane. Hit something every time I try. Like structure man said. No marked lanes on the lake.

I've always wanted to fish that lake.

Thanks, Billy

Like Texas tree grower said be careful when you get above 2859, if you don't know how to run I would take it easy from there up. It is getting shallow up there as of last Saturday.
