want to try them out, been watching YouTube everyone talks about the spiral action on the fall, will they have this action regardless if they are tex rigged or rigged with a tube jig head?

Definitely better action on a jig head
The best action, imo, is when the jig head is inserted within the tube

Clarification—specifically with a jig head with the line tie out the top of the tube. Really enhances the spiraling action

imo they work best in clear water. like any hunk of plastic, they will get bit in any water, but where they outperform other plastics is in clear water.

Dang that's old school... Definitely with a jig head inserted in the tube if you are looking for spiraling action.

Old School is the best there is. I just can't stand the Bluegill bothering the tails.

Forgive if im wrong but i believe the key to the spiral effect is to let it fall with slack line

What works good for the jighead is if you have some old storm swimbaits lying around, peel the plastic off and you have a weighted hook that slides inside a tube. Has great spiraling action.
