We fished Fayette from 11-3 on Sunday and tried a shallow bite first with nothing to show for it. There were a lot of boats by the discharge and boats were loaded onto that long skinny point close by. Went and tried the dam with little luck, then the tree's by the dam with no luck. Driving back across the lake, no one was on the discharge so we picked up a few there in about 15'. Graphed a few points until we finally found a nice stack of fish with some bait in the area. Dragging a carolina rig in about 19' I stumbled onto a patch of rocks about 4' wide and pretty long. Couldn't get them to commit to the crig or a deep diving crank, but once I picked up the dropshot it was on. Picked off fish after fish for a good while using a zoom trickworm in green pumpkin. The slower and least action I could give it once I got into that rock patch the better. Was a lot of fun for the limited amount of time we had to fish. Hope this helps someone.

Good report. Fayette has been as tough as ever for me recently. Good job finding the rocks......

Went yesterday afternoon (10/3) for about 3 hours between rain showers and only caught 4. Missed a couple of others. The 4 we caught were all on spinner baits in/near grass. Tried near intake for about an hour without any luck.

Rock pile is over by discharge. The bite has slowed way down and the water has a off color. Fished Monday with a catch of fifteen, one here and two way over there, just could not get on a good school of fish.

coolest water I have found is 85, so it is still a little to warm for shallow bites.
