Its a good rod, but for the price I'd explore other options.

I have 7 of them and I guarentee youll feel bites you wont feel on a lot of it ther rods. When I bring my buddies along that dont fish I let them use their gear. When they dont get bit I switch the rod over and they start catching fish.

I have a lot of high end gear from Megabass Destroyers, Kistler Zbones, Gloomis NRX, Gloomis GLX, Dobyns Champion Xtremes, St Croix Legend Elites. For the price, I think you are better off getting the NRX. The NRX is more sensitive in my opinion and has a better warranty. In my opinion, the Kistler taper seems to be on the slower side, more suited for moving baits. Let me know if I can help you with your rod choice. I know when you are spending a lot of money the decision process can be crazy.
