My dad and I fished the Victory Bass benefit tournament today on lake Ray Hubbard (thank you Larry for hosting) and after weighing in, we soon realized that someone tried stealing our running boards on our trailer; at least one would assume that, when nearly all the bolts/nuts/washers were gone on the trailer.... for anyone that fishes Hubbard, keep an eye out. We launched at Chandlers and never thought trailer vandalism was a thing.

Maybe they need to raise their launch rates from $20.00 to $ 40.00 and hire some security! OMG

Running boards? Or bunk boards?

Running boards don't just come loose, but, bunk boards are known for falling off. Most use cheap steel lag bolts and they rust "thin" and the boards float loose when the boat slides off.

Its a one year old trailer, Steez. Also, the bolts holding the boards on... are held by nylon nuts, those dont just rust thin

I believe ya, because I had 2 side lights stolen from off my trailer when I launched from Chandlers earlier this year. They were on there & (lit up) when I checked them before leaving the house, but noticed them both gone when I got home..

I launched at 10 am yesterday out of chandlers, saw Larry watching the Victory Bass Trailer, and he wouldve been able to see anyone that was up to no good. Did you ask him if he saw anythung?

I've had cameras now for over a year on my truck. If I were a cop I could have written a 100 tickets a week. You'd be surprised what people will do when they think no one is watching. When you leave your truck/trailer at a public ramp it's no holds barred for thieves. Tires/wheels, fenders, bunk boards or the whole dam trailer could come up missing. That's the world we live in these days. If you're going the camera route don't waste money on the $15 ones, I highly recommend the name brands, Garmin makes the best but Panasonic, Z Edge Z3 and Falcon are also good just make sure it has a wide angle lens and a SD card.

Chandlers staff/Larry had not seen any suspicious activity, but Larry did make sure we were okay.

I have launched there well over a thousand times over the years and never heard of any issues.
