 Motor with no title

Bought a pontoon boat from the guy I bought my house from.
It has a fairly old 90 hp on it. Never been titled. He was second owner.
Price for boat was good, no heartburn on my part.
Is there any way to get the motor titled?
Local licensing agency not a lot of help.

If it is a motor before tx required title and was never titled should be no problem thru TPW.

Get the model and serial numbers off of the motor and go to TP&W. They can tell you if it was ever titled or whose name the title is in.
