After working a local tourney in Galveston yesterday, catching was slim when it came to "Big Fish". Most of the trout where small schoolies (2#) with a couple of 3-4# ers. The Reds ranged from 21"- 27", nice slots. The Reds were more abundant too. As far as the Flatties go, not many turned in and they were the smaller males.......2#-3# bracket. I rarely ask anglers what type of bait they used, yesterday was one of them. BTW, I figure it will be at least 6 weeks before the BIG flatties show up. Come Nov.1st to mid Dec. the daily limit drops to 2 fish. What a Bummer !!!
