Anyone willing to share some tips, spots, insights on Toledo Bend. I fish Sam Rayburn a lot, my home lake, so I'm a little spoiled. however have been hitting Toledo Bend catching a few fish however feel I am missing something. Any help appreciated.

Best tip I can give you is be careful they are dropping water and we saw tree's popping up in the boat lanes.

from the looks of bfl this weekend.....it is TOUGH! I was there yesterday fishing the Cowboy, it was tough. My boater spent three days pre-fishing, he caught one keeper, I zeroed. The bite was weird, they'd hit a c-rig, tap it and gone, did that all day. Somebody will find them, it was not me.

I fished the BFL as well. Practiced Friday had a few bites on ridges and ledges about 20' set the hook on a couple and they were 2lb fish. I also caught one and had a couple blow ups on yellow magic in small coves off the main lake. Saturday morning from 7:30 until 10:00 I tried top water, frogs, chatterbaits, square bills and soft plastics shallow and caught a few small fish. At 10:05 I pulled up to a deep spot my co angler and I caught 5 fish right off the bat with 2 for me and 1 for him going in the box. We thought this was going to be the deal since I marked a pretty good school but they shut off as quick as it started and we never got another bite. Only my second time fishing TB so there are a whole lot better qualified to ask but like the earlier post said it was a tough bite and the bites we had were real light.
