Hey there everyone. The Lone Star Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans Bass Tour is fishing on Lake Ray Hubbard this weekend. They are in need of boat captains for the weekend! At this point they are 15 short. These are an amazing group of people. They tour the country and fish a full tournament series. There will be a pairing meeting this Friday night at Bass Pro in Garland starting at 5:30. Saturday you will be a guide. Your veteran will fish against the other veterans for points, cash and prizes. If your veteran does well, you will win too! On Sunday, you fish as a team. There will be a drive up weigh in both days at Bass Pro in Garland. It's $50.00 to register and you get three meals and ice for both days and the chance for a great pay day. More importantly you are helping someone that has sacrificed and paid a price for this country. Here is a link to the PVA Tour web site. You can register on line from there. PVA Bass Tour Here is a link to Paul's post in the Tournaments section with a number to call to get signed up or get more information. http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt...of#Post12441460Let's make sure these guys get on the water!

Sorry you can't make it BassSacker. I spoke with Paul yesterday and he's called in all his favors and he is still 10 boats short! Call the PVA office at 972.276.5252 and tell the person that answers the phone you want to sign up for the bass tournament or after 5:00 pm call Paul @ 214.212.7720. Please help the Veterans out

Still need captains guys! FYI, there is the Swim Across America open water swim taking place on Ray Hubbard on Saturday in front of the hotel/shopping Center in Rockwall near the I30 bridge. All boaters please be aware the area will be roped off. Be careful out there!

Where is the launch site? You will meet your Veteran at Bass Pro in the morning and you will drive over and launch at the old Chaha ramp (John Paul Jones Park). The military guys from Carswell will park and watch over everyone's tow vehicles all day. Then you will trailer back to Bass Pro for weigh in both days. Hope you can make it!

Just home from the pairing meeting. They can use 2-3 boaters and now they need a few non boaters. This is where a veteran has his own boat, but you would help him around and use your knowledge of the lake. If you can do either for Saturday and Sunday, be at Bass Pro tomorrow morning at 5:45. If you need Paul's number, it's 214.212.7720.

Fun day at Ray Hubbard today. Fishing was tough, but hey, it's Mother Hubbard. They could still use a couple non boaters tomorrow! If you don't have anything to do, and want to get on the water, be in the parking lot at Bass Pro by 5:45 and find Paul or Allen and let them know you want to sign up! These men and women served our country valiantly. All you have to do to honor them is take a day and go fishing with them. Hope to see you at weigh in!
