I have a 2004 Vmax 150 2-stroke that has been bullet-proof for the 11 years I've owned it. I may have lucked out but this is my 3rd Yamaha outboard and they've all been great. On my previous Skeeter I had a 90hp 2-stroke, I have the 150 Vmax on my current Skeeter, and I have a 2009 50hp 4-stroke on a Wahoo skiff that is totally sweet... you can barely hear it running. So I'm a fan of Yamaha motors, I guess.

2007 Carbed vmax 150. I've stayed on top of manufactures recommendation. It's cold natured. Always needs choking on a cold start. Zero problems. Pushes my 18.5 footer. 58mph.
