The water was pea soup green and stunk from dying algae. The action on this particular water hasn't been great recently but I still wanted to try some hand poured grubs I'd been working on.

I had been using spike tail grubs with some success but not as much as last month. Once I rigged any of those pictured, I caught pan fish and largemouth bass. Might a been the wider tail that was more visual in the murky water. 43 total in 4 hours.

The grub with the thick body that caught the perch was made by fusing a grub body from one grub and adding the paddle tail using a candle flame to fuse them together. Worked very well!

Nice baits. Grubs are a good bait and like stated they can catch a variety of fish. hooked

Nice post. Grubs also are great for White Bass and Crappie! Fresh water Reds also love them.

Those look like they'd also work rigged with the hook perpendicular to the flat part of the tail. I'd like to drop some of those over some brush for crappie.

Have used that way and they work but not as well as in line with the hook.

It quivers no matter how slow the retrieve.
