I bought this motor off of a buddy who bought the motor and the tail kit new 1/2014. He registered the motor but the original registration seems to be lost or misplaced. He only used the motor occasionally.
The motor starts up easily after I put on a new carb earlier this year. I started it today Saturday 9/30 and it started on the first pull. However the shaft makes more noise than I would expect at times and then stops. You can hear this in the video at about 40 seconds. I'm not sure if this is a bad bearing/bushing or just the way the shaft loosens up when it ages? Seems like the motor would work okay on the water? However for now I just want the motor out of my garage with no hassles so am selling the motor for parts as is for $140 cash.
Dropping to 100 cash. Seems like a good deal if you need a bargain longtail mud motor setup or backup parts just in time for hunting season. If you want, you can start the longtail up and test it out like I did in the video before you buy it. This is as low as I will go before trying some other resources to sell it.
