Are they starting to recover from the massive fresh water infusion from the storms? I'm really starting to need a salt-water fix.

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm guessing it's way too fresh for specks. I'm curious about reds and flounder in the NE marshes. I'm debating going out tomorrow.

Actually there have been a few guides catching some scattered nice specks from the wells. It's getting better every day. May still take a bit before being great... but they are sneaking in there.

Been twice in last 10 days, lots of birds and lots of dinks. I hear guides have been fishing back up in the pocket between the river and the east launch channel drifting and limiting out on keepers. I fished out near the mouth of the river and birds were everywhere.

Does anyone know or know someone familiar with the Anahuac area near Ft. Anahuac? Until now, we've been bank fisherman with limited success, but my son recently bought a boat and we're hoping to open up new opportunities for filling the ice chest.
