What lake in the DFW to central Texas area do y’all think is fishing the best right now?

Lewisville is on fire right now, and will get better after the first couple of cold fronts

The posters stating Lewisville is on fire right now are either trying to steer traffic away from another DFW lake or they know it extremely well.

At the high school tournament on Saturday the average team weight was less than 3 lbs. Yes, less than three pounds. Not per fish, but an entire 5 fish limit (which most teams didn't reach obviously). 10 pounds was good enough for 10th place, out of >200 teams. Winning weight was 15 pounds.

Fishing has been tough for me recently. This morning I fished from 5am-2pm. Caught 12. Biggest was a five on a whopper plopper at 7am as the sun was rising. That was also my first fish. Fished 5a to 7a without a bite, for whatever that's worth. The rest came on a swim jig and were small. Got the most bites in 2-4ft with a rocky bottom close to brush on main lake points. But my report is meaningless really given the weather change coming tonight. Will all be different tomorrow. It's a big lake with some big fish scattered around. The guys that really know that place are sticks and they can catch 20lbs any month of the year. I'm not one of those guys, yet.

We were out there fishing another tournament the same day as the high schoolers and had around 24lbs it was only a 3fish tournament and we had right at 15lbs on 3. The team that got 2nd had like 14 1/2lbs on 3. It's been really good just got to figure them out.

I wouldn't say Ray Hubbard is on fire, but I've been catching 'em pretty consistently last few weeks. Decent numbers with a 5-6lber on almost every trip.

Thanks for the info guys. I’ve never been to Lewisville but may have to make a trip up there next week to try it out.

How coincidental I am the one who got 10th place in the tournament with 10.77lbs.. We didn’t finish where We wanted to and lost too many important fish but since it was my partner and I’s First tournament together we were happy and are excited to take 1st place next month at ol ray roberts

Thanking the lord for another day on the water

Need to get out there this weekend for the PVA on Ray Hubbard! They can use some guys who are catching them out there!
