Don't know why Capt. Craig is so anti Garmin , but in the few years I've used them I have found them so user friendly, great detail, and so far they have beaten every lawsuit Navico has thrown at them.

I'm curious which of the fish finders allow for the easiest and most accurate way when having side imaging going, see an interesting brush pile or structure, mark with a waypoint and then navigate back to that location using GPS? Looking for the following:

1) Recognition of brush pile or structure using side imaging
2) Quick marking of that structure
3) Accuracy of the mark
4) Navigation back to the waypoint mark.

I have never used the other brands and I don�t care what brand you buy because I have no sponsorship like some of the others here have, but lowrance does all of those pretty easily. They don�t have the best side imaging distance though, seems both other brands can shoot further to the side (except for the mega imaging, it doesn�t shoot very wide). Best thing to do is to play with them in the store and see which one you understand.

I like mine, but need to learn more about what I am seeing on side view.
