Does anyone have any dealings with Travelers Insurance for Boats. I have a quote and I think it a pretty decent deal, just have not had any dealings with them. Thanks for any Information.

I have had them for over 7 yrs., great rates, good service. I've had one claim, and they handled it promptly. Get what you pay for, be sure to cover all uses, passengers, and accessories.

I think you are better off with a company that specializes in marine insurance and knows the industry inside out. You'll get better rates and better protection. JMHO

when I had my claim, on the motor, the first agent wasn't completely knowledgeable about all things boats, some things, but quickly referred my to another in-house agent, who was an ex Mercury Marine mechanic. Everything went well, very quick, adjustment thru payout. Also, my agent is a fisherman, call Mike at Aars & Nelson Insurance, Meridian, Tx. Lots of metroplex guys have their insurance thru him.

I have been able to help a lot of the members here to better understand marine insurance. Travelers is a great company if they have the right coverage's and the right agent. Call Bob! I have travelers through Bob. Had a claim last year (lower unit), check was on the way the same day they received estimate from Rockwall Marine.
