This lake sure needs some attention. Tires and garbage make my favorite lake an eye sore. This goes on for miles up and down north side of rocks on 30... mad

I wish the City of Dallas would allow Rockwall to trim all the trash trees along the bridge too. But, I wouldn't want to be the one doing it! Those snakes are all over...I heard they tried to get Dallas to let them do it a few years ago.

Looks like the floating tire breakwaters broke free from a Marina and floated in!

I was actually pleasantly surprised at how much the floods have cleaned up the floating and shoreline debris in a bunch of places. Didn't fish those rocks, but the rest of the lake looked pretty clean to years past.

RHBC spoke with the city of Dallas years ago about doing a clean up day as one of our community events. We were told that was not allowed due to liability concerns. The city would rather it look like a toilet in some areas then get sued... I'm sure a few of our members could tell you where there were a few sunken treasures.

Those have not been there for very long. Last time I fished was the last week of August and it was nothing like that. Went from 30 bridge all the way up to party cove and did not see any tires clumped like that. Looks like they came loose from somewhere or maybe dumped.

Yep...North shore just south of Harbor Bay Marina. This is just a very small sample of tires and trash up and down the entire bank. I fish Hubbard a fair amount and I have never seen it this bad.

There are some spots I would love to hook those up and drag to and sink.

Those tires from Harbor Bay have been there awhile. But I think we're forgetting how much debris ended up in the lake North of 30 on both sides of Dalrock after the tornado. Lots and lots of construction debris. Add to that the large construction projects currently on the lake in many locations and the results are the lake is full of debris. City of Dallas can't or won't keep up with the debris, maintenance and runoff in White Rock so I can't imagine they even think of Hubbard.

It's not good, though, because the lake isn't in very good shape right now and when it starts dropping again it will get worse.

I cannot imagine the billion dollar project underway would not have some influence on cleaning up around the lake. Harbor Bay should at least be responsible for the tire mess on the shores.
