I only been there once and use guide Bryce Archer (870) 582-4561. Well worth it for at least the first day, if you don't know lake as there are a lot of islands above & below water level. He allowed us to carry a handheld GPS so we would at least have a trail to follow on our own. We found fish on both top waters and later with soft plastics over deep wooded points. It was October when we went and we are planning a return trip toward the end of October. Good luck

If you get a cloudy and / or drizzly day that time of year, work rock ledge type banks with a split shot senko rig and make longer casts and hang on. They will move up in three or four feet on that type of day and its a blast. Otherwise, I would fish timber or rocky points with a shakeyhead

Bass fishing is extremely tough right now. Crappie bite has been decent. You can catch a few on topwater or squarebills early on points on east side. There are some schoolers in by the marina. Still bad tough.

There used to be a guy named large okie or something like that , is a guide on the lake and rents cabins also. Contact Largemouthokie on here, he lives there, has cabins, and he fishes it a lot, if you can't find him holler and I will get you his number.

There are LOTS of incredible log cabins for rent on the west side.
