Richie White or Paul Hyland hands down. Paul used to do some "more affordable" night trips out of your boat too. Both on TFF.

I have fished with Mr. Hyland and I recommend him highly as he only did night trips for many years. I like the guys that specialize in the zone of fishing that you would like to do. His information is always in Plugs and Announcements if anyone is interested.

Keep the stories coming. There is nothing like hooking a big fish in the dark.

Excellent article, Donald. I have always loved night fishing for big bass. It's been very effective for me here in Texas woody flats of some Arkansas lakes, and in the cool, clear waters of eastern Washington, where I won several bass club night tournaments. My biggest up there was an 8-12 I caught on a black Jitterbug on a moonless night, but There was enough light from the stars to see the edge of the lily pads, and I was casting parallel to them when she hit. In Arkansas, almost all of the big ones hit either buzz baits or single-spins, all solid black. I netted an 8-15 for a friend night-fishing a worm in 25 feet of water on Medina Lake. Unfortunately, my health and wife both frown on my fishing after dark now. I miss it.
