Seems Pro Angler and the White Ugly Stik rods are the most common choice

What type of fishing do you do? What species and size are you targeting?

For big fish go I use a mh or heavy rod with some bend in the tip. Ripping lips, whisker seeker, and Shakespeare all make good rods. I'm sure there are more out there.

Whichever has at least 10 eyelets including tip. The more the better.
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

I prefer a Chad Ferguson Signature Series Rod from Whisker Seeker Tackle. For me they have the perfect combination of softness in the tip to get a hookset every time, with still plenty of backbone in the rod to turn those big fish away from the nasty stuff when you need to. They have worked great for me on everything from small channels and blues up to 40+ lb bluecat. http://whiskerseeker.com/catfish-rod-chad-ferguson-medium-heavy-rod-models/
