Was wondering what rod length everyone liked for fishing the bridges. I have problems with anything over 6 ft trying to get a loop off the end or some other problem so it's 5.6 and 6 ft for me.

I fish with a 5.6 ft rod. Anything over that and it makes it difficult to land fish in the tube.

It depends on the height of the Bridge. I normally use a 9-10 rod. It help me measure my depth. If it is a low bridge. I go with my 6' ProAngler

I carry a 4.5 ft ugly stick with solid fiberglass tip, and a backup 3 ft solid fiberglass ice fishing rod. Weight is in good balance in these shorter lengths and action is acceptable for me. Very low profile, and never a break in many years of jambing the tips against pilings, rocks, trees, car doors, etc.
May not work for everyone.
