Yeah, I'm not buying it either. Holding a 13 lb largemouth with three fingers?

I was going to post that picture today. Right around 13 lbs on a Bass Pro fish gripper scale, so take that as you will. Could have been more than 13. It was a toad regardless. It was the biggest large mouth I've seen caught in person. Snapped a few pictures and got her back in as quick as we could. In hind sight, we should have had it weighed on an official scale, but I was so excited and all I was thinking was get it back in the water or get it mounted. Awesome battle and awesome fish! The gentleman holding it was a really nice man, and I believe it came back to him yesterday. Thanks for reading.

your scale is broken or your client is a GIANT man visiting here from another planet .
When ever I have landed a DD bass , I use two scales and the measurement method to determine it's weight .
Glad you got her back in the water quickly

New lake record???

I bet TPWD would have accepted it as a SAL since it starts in a week or so.

How many of you naysayers have caught a 13lb. bass? I could easily see that fish weighing 13.
