It depends on how much he paid for it when he originally bought it. More info please.

It's actually rather easy. Dave and Mark ride scooters...If you add that together it equals Broken Back Mountain II, the sequel.

I assume the scooter was fully depreciated, made $100, bought it back for $80, profit is at $20 sells it for $90 total profit is $30.

Was there any seller financing involved on the first or 2nd sale? If so, what were the attorney's fees and the UCC financing statement filing fees?

Assuming the scooter was fully depreciated, then David's initial profit was $100. David then took that $100 and spent $80 on the same bike. His investment in the bike is now $80. He turns around and sells it for $90. His profit is $10.

Assuming the scooter was fully depreciated and his cost was zero when he sold it to David, the net profit was $110.00

Sold it twice....$100.00 + 90.00 = 190.00 in sales
Bought it once ......$80.00 in cost
Difference is $110.00 gross profit
