Gene larew tattletail worms are THE JUICE! Both the zoom and Fene worms are tapered from mid-body to tail but the tattletail worms have a boat tail end that make the tail go wild on a shakey set up. They are also great on a neko rig.
I'm glad someone else posted this so my biased opinion wasn't alone. hahaha. I was shocked when I saw the action of these tattle tails when they first came out. that little tail simply can't stop moving even in dead calm water. And now that there is a larger size, it's even better. Another bait I use on shaky heads that has been deadly for some giants on Monticello is a Biffle Bug. Not sure why this works so well but it does. What colors have you guys found most effective?

My favorite is the creme scrounger. I've pretty much replaced my shakys and gone all swing heads though. I'll stick some adhesive backed foam around the shank of the hook or stick a whole tooth pick long ways in the end of the tail for extra buoyancy. Works for me.never tank tested but in clear lakes I've experimented and they stand straight up. I like that toothpick idea ,,,,,,, first I have ever heard of it ,,,,,,,, great idea. I experimented with trying to syringe air into the tails but that didn't work out to well and I got real funny looks buying the syringes and needles. I am going to try the toothpick in one end with a worm weight pegged with a nail on the other end with a wacky hook in the middle. that should let the worm stand straight up and down and wiggle with the wave action or when I jiggle my rod tip. headed to the swimming pool now

Zoom finesse worm Roboworm (actually floats) 4" Yum Dinger with chartreuse tail A good "creature- type" shaky head bait is a Culprit Incredi-slim (4").
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

They are not exactly available to the public just yet. We are still working on building the website with ecommerce and waiting on packaging. PM me your contact info and colors that you are looking for and im sure I can get some in your hands. We do have several other in my opinion amazing offerings and hope to roll out to the public in early January. As a sneak peak of what we have been working on you can visit our website at www.illustriousaction.com but keep in mind it's a work in progress and all of our plastic floats.
