Monday: Took my 2 sisters and a grand niece out this morning. It was slower than normal but we managed 49 mostly white bass and cleaned about 25 for evening fish fry. We caught fish at Long Ridge, Sam's Hump and Key Ranch Drop-off. We looked but found none at Dam Drop-off, Dam Ridge, Drew's Humps and Iron Wall Hump. All but 3 fish caught on #4 Mepps in 14 to 19 fow.

Thursday 9/28/2017:
Went north on a scouting run from 9AM to 1PM. Started at Carolyn Estates and caught 5 whites, then moved to Kevin's Point and caught 5 whites, 3 cats, a yellow bass and a hybrid. Then moved to Spillway Hump and caught 5 whites and a hybrid on NW slope of the SW finger. Then to north tip of Spillway and caught 5 whites on the NE slope of it. Next to the Rock Pile and caught another 5 whites. Next stop was Enchanted Isle Ridge where I caught another 5 whites on the SW slope near the west end of it. Finally, moved to the south slope of the mid-point of Enchanted Isle Ridge and caught 4 hybrids in a row then 5 whites. Fish were in 12 to 19 fow and all caught on #4 Mepps new and refurbished.
Yes, I finally broke down and bought replacement wires and hooks and took the other parts from old Mepps that were one or 2 hookers. I have about 4 dozen of those that I can refurbish.
