Greeting from the big lake up north...TEXOMA!!! I have been catching all my fish on topwaters,slabs and soft plastics and the bite been above par most days all summer. Besides stripers lots of sandies and bass been wanting to play. Some of our sandies are just plain monster size and ready to pull on your rod. The lead heads we put the plastic on been coming from MT Pockets,the slabs from axman at ReAxtion Lures and various Topwater baits one my favs being from six gill fishing. Speaking of sixgillfishing.com I am using their rods and reels and have had nothing but positive results! More drag,super smooth long casts and super light weight make this gear perfect. Also they have crazy sales all the time so check em out.
Texoma has been turning over for over a month and with this warm weather pattern we have had lately it is dragging on. Looks like next week we going back cooler fall temps so that will get it turned and hopefully close to done. Water surface temps had dropped to 76-78 but last few days back to 79-81 prolonging the turn. The fish are on most all of our flats,ledges near flats and creek channels running thru the flats. Lots of birds and small fish schooling so if you stop on some and they are small move on til you find better fish if you need a trip give me a call 903-786-4477 and we will go get em!
