I have never tied a Roadrunner just using Hackle for the tail, always used Marabou. Then I did these to see what I thought and will give them a try before too long. Also tied one using my FL Acid Rain Sparkle chenille and am liking it too! All using no tips!
Anyway was wanting to see what you guys think and if you like them too?

I did tie one group of the Gray ones using marabou.

Thank you guys, I do appreciate the feed back. Guess that I will find out soon enough if the less action makes any difference in the Hackle over Marabou. I do also like the look pretty well.

Thank again guys,

AMAZING as usual Skip!! You know me, I'm a hackle guy anyway and those all 3 are excellent! The Marabou is beautiful too and all should be deadly to crappie (and bass, bream, catfish, stripers, etc. etc)
