Had the pleasure today of taking Jacky and Joey blue cat fishing on Lewisville. We made an early morning drift with what little puff of wind Mother Nature would allow us and managed 14 cats on the first drift. Jacky caught his new personal best 29" 11.02 lbs fat cat. That was one healthy blue cat. The wind went totally slack and we looked around for some crappie and managed to find a bunch of dinks and 5 nice keepers. Also had 2 sandies fall for jigs as well. We got a little north breeze back and tried another drift. After they got to 20 cats in the livewell the wind and time both died out. All the cats were caught drifting cut fresh shad in 28-32 ft of water and the crappie came on 1/16th pink jig heads with shad colored Bobby Garland soft plastics. They caught fish from 10-25 ft deep on brush and rocks. I cleaned 27 fish and they had a great day on the water. Go to www.ntxfishing.net or contact me at 972-342-8803 to book a trip.
