My bud fished it and said it was tough! They only had 1 keeper each day, I didn't ask him what the winning weight was though.

Soooooo popcorn

Man, was it tough. Lake has come up 4ft recently, but stabilized a few days before the weekend. I'm open to theories on why it's so tough (and what to do about it).

Went by the book to follow them up to the newly flooded cover with minimal success and did even worse on deep hydrilla beds.

What a downer. That should have been close to 25 lbs. each day. Was the wind good or did it play a factor?
Congratulations to the McDonald's.

Congratulations to the McDonald's.

Three fish limit would be a hell of an average to get to 25lbs. Weather was good, wind was not a factor.

Those that fished it, were y'all catching good numbers of fish or was it slow overall?

Thursday and Friday prefish days were terrible for us, 3 bites and two fish for two days. Sat and Sun we caught lots of fish all day but it's a grind to catch a 15in fish. We did have a limit Saturday for 7lb with a 4 1 1/2 lb fish, Sunday lots of fish but only two keepers. Our bigger fish on Saturday had a 7lb head and three lb body. All the fish we caught were skinny and rail thin, looks like those fish are starving to death. Did see a 9ish lb fish weighed on Saturday that should have been well over ten but was all head. The fish just look malnourished and sick.
