What is the best action for a buzz bait rod?

I use a 7ft 6in. crank bait rod and a 7-1 gear ratio reel. Sometimes they want it fast and sometimes they want the blade just going plop plop plop. I can do both with that reel.

I like the Dobyns 734c for throwing buzz baits. It has a great backbone to pull fish out of and grass or cover they may get themselves into.

Tatula 7'2" MHRB here and I have no issues with hooks up when they are eating the buzzbait good.

I like the above mentioned Dobyns, it is HF and a GREAT buzzbait rod. I cosider it more like a MHF rod, though, as it works great for most applications it is built for. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck. They also make the rod in several models, so you can pick one for your budget.

A buzz bait is my number one when it comes to top water and I use the Dobyns SA 735C you can use the SA 734C
