I thought I had already posted this on Friday but apparently it did not post.

Do any of you know if you must have the zero lines card from Humminbird in order for the AutoChart function to work? When I try to interpret the website info it sounds like the card is used to move the info from your PC (where you create the zero line) to the Humminbird unit.

Any experience with this card?

I assume you are talking about it on the Helix? If so, then no. They give you a "trial version" You can record approximately 8 hours. If you choose to go over the 8 hours, it will erase the data and start over. If you want to save more than 8 hours or want to transfer it to another unit or your computer, you will need the zero card.

If you have it on your unit, you simply go in and turn it on when you want to record. You can change the settings on it before you turn it on. Then just turn it off when you want to stop. You adjust the overlay so you can have it showing or not on your map. I use it to map humps and such that aren't shown on lakemaster.
