So read the darn post before you start spouting advice.
I was in a rehab center with doctors and nurses watching over me 24 hours a day.
Nothing they gave me seems to be working. So I asked for some home remedies just to see what was available. JUST BECAUSE I ASK FOR AN ANSWER TO A QUESTION IN NO WAY OBLIGATES ME TO TAKE THE ADVICE.

Asthma is restriction of your lung capacity that comes on slowly and then kicks your rear. Once it starts you can not stop it you have to be aware of what triggers it and know when you are starting an episode then you can get ahead of it and ride out the storm. When you have it bad steriods are used to get your thru it. My daughters had it young and grew out of it. They all said it was like a giant squeezing all of the air out of your lungs.

I had all of the inhalers needed and a nebulizer, these work. Cough suppressant/syrup, musenex won't help. Antibiotic, no don't think so?

You need to use the nebulizer and inhalers and ride it out. The steriods are not great for you, but in an emergency could be used.

Pneumonia is my guess....it's been all over the place the last 2 years.

Open your eyes & look within, are you satisfied with the life youre living.

No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs.

If you were in a rehab center you COULD have contracted Methicillian-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) or Severe acute respiratiry syndrome (SARS). Hospitals and rehab centers are famous as breeding grounds for both, especially MRSA. Go get checked out.

No rule against discussing medical issues on a public forum although self treatment and taking advise from somebody's third cousins brother in laws aunt may not be the best idea. Information sharing and gathering ideas is always a good thing as long as one remembers that their doctor is going to more than likely be the best route.. Yeah I know, there's the guy that did what another guy did and got his got his brain cancer cured by drinking prune juice when his doctor didn't know chit. I'm not talking about that guy. I can also say that as a hospital based respiratory therapist for 27 years that it would probably be best to stick with your doc. Have to admit that some of the opinions and "knowledge" shared in this thread has been to say the least, interesting..... sars would be highly unlikely
