I should have asked this at the start but here is a related question. On your shaky jig heads do you find that the flat eye is better then the straight or vertical eye? I'm no longer fishing weed like I did there so wonder if there is a good reason for the different style eye

Typically, I like a horizontal line tie. That's because I fish a lot of rock, and that horizontal line tie will help it crawl over rocks better, whereas a vertical line tie would get wedged more. If I'm fishing brush piles or in grass, I like a vertical line tie.

I mainly throw zoom finesse and trick worms and Havoc bottom hoppers. The Havoc's stand up.

I just use owner and Xcite shaky heads.

I like any good flat top shakey head depending on how deep I am fishing will determine the weight size I use. I use Excite big worms for big fish out deep with a 3/4 oz shakey head and a 3/16 to 1/2 oz up shallow, this will depend on the fall rate I am after, shakey heads with a excite JR claw in Plumkin color on both. The excite floats up on all the baits. You can use any bait that floats. I think Hags is another brand that floats, just use the brand you are comfortable with as long as it floats. The baits with salt in them will go to bottom, the ones without salt usually float if that helps.
