 WS Commander Series Discontinued??

Brother in Law was interested in the Commander series for Duck Hunting. Was able to take my Commander 120 for test ride and really was sold on the open deck, stability and storage capacity in stern. We went to the Wilderness systems website and did not see the Commander Series listed.
Is Wilderness Systems discontinuing the Commander Series for next year???

Looks like it's been discontinued on their website. The Commander 120 is in their 2017 catalog, but not the 140 (which was in the 2016 catalog). Guessing the 120 is on it's way out too.

Yea, they discontinued the 140 in 2017  . I believe it is a huge mistake but who knows how it will play out. I bought a new 2016 Commander 140 in March of 2017, and think it's one of the most versatile kayaks out there. Especially for camping, and duck hunting where carrying loads are needed.

Best kayak I've ever owned by a long stretch, the 140. Best kayak for fly fishing and sight casting while standing. Rock solid stable and not a barge at all. I wouldn't change anything except maybe round off the keel in the stern a bit. I took it duck hunting once and had my son in there along with a mess of decoys. Carries like 475 pounds.
I didn't see anything at the boat show in Houston that looked half as good. These freaking manufacturers always mess up good stuff. I find shoes I like and next time I go to buy them, they aren't made anymore. Some new and improved, BS. The Atak 140 is much heavier and I hate the deck.

Looks like 120 on its way out as well...An online store had Commander accessories on clearance..Purchased the bow cover, Slidetrax Dashboard with tool board.
