Which frequency do you prefer on the 2D sonar when fishing 20 foot of water or less? Also on the front unit for the trolling motor which frequency if using 2D and fishing brush piles?

Which frequency for the down and side imaging in 20 foot of water or less?

Please give details and why.

2D= 83/200 kHz or the CHIRP ranges of each

Imaging= 455 kHz or its CHIRP range

More coverage, that's it.

Imaging 800 kHz. 800 provides a better image.

With CHIRP on your frequencies will be listed as Medium (83) and High (200).

It's the same transducer in the Gen 1, the CHIRP is done in the unit itself but it is only 2d chirp and I believe that it was only offered in the Helix 12.
