After seeing Captain Wheeler's post about Deep Sea HQ being partially up and running again after Harvey, I was wondering how the other fishing boat companies did post-Harvey (i.e. whether their boats survived without serious damage, whether their office locations were still usable). Any word on the status and condition at Fisherman's Wharf (Wharf Cat and Scat Cat) or for Dolphin docks?

I'd ask Capt James for confirmation but I think most of the party boats headed out of dodge before the storm blew in.

Tiffany is right. The boats at all three docks are OK. Dolphin Docks building received the most damage. From what I understand they might level that building and start over. Fisherman's Wharf also received a good deal of damage. DSH is in the process of getting a new roof at this time but I don't know what the timeline is on getting back in the building and operational.

I am not 100% sure about the other docks, and do not want to spread any rumors. But, my understanding is DD will be running their long trips. No news from wharf. We at DSH will be running longs, privates, and open 12s on Saturdays for the time being. Everything remains fluid and is open to change.

The ferrys, right now only operate from 6am to 2130 and , to my understanding, are open to all. I could be wrong, so do some research. I'm urging everyone not to count on them (take361 and factor in extra time)... you may miss the boat if you do.

Our town is truly a disaster zone. Bring cash for anything you may want or need. And, plan accordingly

We are all dieing to get back to fishing! We need y'alls support to do it.

If the Saturday OPEN 12 doesn't fit... look into getting friends together for a private 12! $2900 up to 10 mon thru Fri $3700 up to 20 sat/sun... $80 per head over those numbers... the shrimpers have been clocking the glory zone since one day after... it SHOULD be hot action!

Thanks for the update. I look forward to fishing with you again soon, perhaps I can get over there the first Saturday in October for the 12 hr.

By the way, which motels in Port A are actually operational? I would have assumed that even if they were structurally sound that all of them had enough water damage that it would be months before they'd be back in business.

I am not sure sorry about the sporty info but this is truly difficult. What I understand though is the ones operational are full with fema, adjusters, workers , and displaced... plan on getting rooming in cc at the closest...

My trip to Port A today was very sobering. I wasn't expecting to see the carnage I saw.

DSH is getting a new roof and I caught Capt. James up there hammer in hand. And it's nice to be acquainted with the person that owns the only pair of OSHA approved flip flops known to man thumb

DD has a nice unit set up off to the side and are getting ready to do business.

Chad from FW posted over on 360 that all of their long trips on the books are a go. I swung by there but didn't see and sign of life.

I don't know how many hotel/motel rooms there are available for rent there but it can't be many as every one of them had mattresses and furniture stacked out front.

Port A is a very sad sight right now.

Bobby, it was good to see you today. Sorry I didn't come down, but it took me 15 minutes to get into that stupid fking harness OSHA made us buy and I wasn't going through that again until the job was done!

The flip flops are the only thing those yahoos haven't commented on so I'd appreciate some discression there! I still can't believe they showed up, threatening to fine us while we are rebuilding. Fk the govt!

We are rebuilding for sure! But we will come back better and stronger. Thanks for all the help and checkups!

Hope to see you all soon!

Capt. James Wheeler
