Went out from 8:00 to 2:30 today and got totally skunked. The wind was a little high for me to do a slow drift. I need to upgrade to bigger wind socks. Very frustrating to drive all over the lake looking at all my spots. Even found some hybrids and sandbasss I think but could not get them to bite either.

I may just cover the boat until it gets colder for longer.

You learn when you lose. This time of year can be tough. If you can locate and stay on em during the seasonal transition periods they will be a lot easier to locate during prime time. Hate to say it but spending all those hours graphing will make you a much more affective angler. Put in the time now and reap the benefits this winter when it counts. Better to Work on your boat control now then wait till it's 40 and in the rollers.

I could cut and paste texts from the last week but it would be repetative. I had a rough week as well! 5 days straight on the water and conditions changed every day. I'd start a north drift then go west then go south then go east. Crazy! Just couldn't put the Blues together! Could not find them and I worked the helix 12 to death for hours and hours!!! Caught about 100 channel cats drifting schools. Kept 4 then went caught crappie. I'm prepping the boat with big live well now, replacing water separator, tying leaders, etc.. sometime them cats will make a guy crazy! bang I wish I'd have been on Louisville though! It's a much better lake than the one I was fishing. Good luck!

I think y'all are both in big trouble!!That's how Catfish Fever works fellas! flame Y'all got the Bluecat Bug! Its mostly transmitted by catching a big catfish but sometimes a bunch of little ones will do. It's the time away from the lake and days spent not catching that truly makes the fever burn hot though. Add a day where you only catch a few or god forbid a skunk like poor ol oakpoint??? Well you will be sick as a dog. Only known remedy for catfish fever is a healthy dose of blue slime. It won't cure it but if you get a dose often enough y'all won't go totally Gato loco...I need some slime I'm starting to shake!!! loco_2 flame texas
