The fish have been eating well this past week! Sandbass have been fairly easy to locate, but the hybrids take a little more searching around. Fish are on structure and have been on the move. Move around with them if you want to maximize your catching. The water temp is down right around 80, and when you find fish they should jump on. Live bait is still kicking butt. Get out there and get you some. The weather has been fantastic and very pleasant on the water lately. Here are a few pictures from yesterday. I had three generations in the boat with me. We limited out on hybrids and sandbass! Thanks for reading. I have days open in September. Let me know if you'd like to go fishing! Wes Campbell 214-282-7093

Hybrids look fat and healthy, cooler temps will slow them down, bunch up and make ketching faster !

Congrats on some great trips! I fish Fort Phantom just north of Abilene and curious what advice you may have for locating and catching whites and hybrids. I go at least once a week and have become a shad ninja. I know the main locations (wind blown cove, island top, and few points) that are holding the bait last several weeks as long as weather is stabile but sadly I've had some disappointing trips despite seeing loads of threadfin shad along with some bigger returns mixed in that I believe to be whites and hybrids. However downrigging, slabbing, and casting just haven't been productive. I'm wondering if I am competing with way too much bait or maybe need to get more on the outskirts of the shad. Or perhaps these are more catfish and not as much white bass/hybrids as I initially thought. Any pointers would be very much appreciated.

Thanks guys! Dad and I went out yesterday and got into them pretty good! Clohse I'll PM you. I have days open in September and a couple of weekend days as well. I'm on the water just about everyday. Some mornings and some afternoons. Let me know if you need a guide to help out with the pattern or to load the cooler up. We can do both right now! Thanks again.
