Motor ran fine getting off the trailer but was dead after parking the truck. Idles high and dies immediately now. I did replace the battery this morning if that helps.
Got it to stay started after sitting for an hour but the alarm goes off at 2k rpm. Suggestions?

What is happening is your getting fuel in the air side. Could be a number of things that can cause this torn diaphragm in the tracker valve or air or fuel pressure regulators. Leaking fuel injector or weak air compressor and the alarm could be from overheating air compressor. Need to take it in and have it look only way you will find what alarm is by hooking up to Mercury diagnostic program......OPTI

Had an Optimax with this alarm and it turned out to be that the water strainer needed cleaning. Look at a cooling schematic. It is where the thermostat hoses connect at the exhaust adaptor. #8 here: http://www.boats.net/parts/search/Merc2/Mercury/V-150%20DFI%20%282.5L%29/0T178500%20THRU%200T800999/WATER%20HOSES/parts.html
