https://youtu.be/IFwEzJcFnT0 Love my Ultrex! You can't really see the tree limb on the left side that is huge also and underwater. VERY tight space and held us like a champ. We could concentrate on fishing! There's about 6 or 8 of us in CAT that now have them. Most of them (maybe all?) we got from David at Shut-Up-and-Fish. He also installed mine. Top notch work!!

Mo Mo, I don't have one. If I did, I would make a 14 second video for you. On second thought, I might even go 16 seconds.

It seemed like Slade said at the seminar to mount the GPS puck as far away as you could from the TM but all the one's I've seen David mounted are right next to it? Does it not make a difference or was I too busy chasing a 7 year old around who wanted to buy out the store? Video looks good! I'm curious to how it will or won't hold up fishing through timber at a rapid pace. He still wears his yellow HB hat alot although it has chocolate pudding on it now!

It does not matter if you mount the heading sensor close or far from the trolling motor. We mount them both ways depending on the boat.

I'm not sure how much video my phone will take, so just cut if off to get the point. (At least i thought the point was made...) But it would be the same for 20 minutes. The boat does not move. Would get kind of boring watching a boat not move for 20 minutes... lol Love my Fortrex, but Once you try the Ultrex for any length of time, you won't go back. As far as moving through timber, it works like the Fortrex. That's why I waited for this motor instead of Ultera or Xi5. Also, A buddy at work leaves his on spot lock all day and doesn't run down batteries. The jog left, jog right, forward and back is way cool. Good fishing!

Man after fishing in this wind today I am about ready to get an Ultrex, maybe I'll buy myself one for Christmas this year.

Yes sir, Before when I had my Fortrex and fishing all day I would come home simply whooped and the wife would want to go out and I would say "to tired" Fast forward to the Ultrex and on the water all day I come home hop in the shower and head out for dinner and drinks with the wife. I guess you could say that the Ultrex has improved my fishing and my relationship with my wife

I want the new ULTERRA that has the same spot lock technology as the Ultrex...... I WANT IT BAD!!!Even tho the Ulterra has a very fast response head, I still work my butt off in the wind. And I hate to graph a wad of fish, then elect not to fish for them due to the wind Maybe Santa or the Easter Bunny will bring me one

I guess you could say that the Ultrex has improved my fishing and my relationship with my wife Now that's a new one! lol I use to get calf cramps from staying on the TM all day. The recessed pedal helped, but still on a hot day... would have leg cramps, usually late at night when sleeping. ouch Definitely not as worn out at the end of the day. On another note, not to say anyone would ever do this on a COE lake of course... but the anchor/spot lock feature is awesome while you are setting BP's. The final part where you're tying on weight and trying to get it to land in a particular spot (ledge/drop-off etc.). Works awesome! ... or so I've heard...from a friend of a friend, who knows a guy... over in East Texas that did that. So, help your marriage/relationships and precise location for BPs. 2 more advantages to the Ultrex. Good fishing!!
